There are some biomes where certain seasons are replaced with 'the wet season' and 'the dry season'.  The wiki is notably silent on exactly which seasons are which, and in which biomes (aside from being 'some tropical biomes').

When exactly do the wet and dry seasons start, and in which biomes?

(This is for modding animals that should only appear in the wet season, but I figured people here should know.)

In my experience the wet season comes in summer and the dry in autumn. I can't be more precise sadly as it's been a while since I played in the tropics (0.28 / 40d).

Edit: I seem to remember it not being completely reliable either with me getting both summer and wet season announcements. The above lines up with what you'd expect in reality in the Northern Hemisphere. I know there is some detail to the weather simulation, Toady even said he kind of regrets how much time he put into the detail, but I don't know how much it applies here.
