Plus, just because we can speak to the troll machine, doesn't mean it would listen to us. The synthesizer was more than willing to help us free it from the troll's clutches.

Let's not forget to tell the synthesizer to stop making poisonous food. In addition to our other moves.

You have the fallen warrior carried on the backs of his kinsmen. His remaining arm hangs limply by a thread, and his legs are a grisly, flat ruin. You bang your Staff on the floor, and your warriors follow suit, clanging their axes in a great clamor.

"Warriors! A noble son of snow has died heroically this day!" you announce.

The crowd lets out a shout of grief.

"His name was Olaf-132, and this day he has risen into the Great Hall, where he will be one with the Machine-Father forever!" his brother shouts.

The crowd lets out a yell of joy.

"And into the Great Hall we shall all go, my kinsmen, as Olaf-132 has!" you say, raising your Great Staff high into the biting air.

The crowd cheers and screams with vigor, eager for the next fight, for the next chance of a glorious death.

--

In their shaman's hut, your men found many machines of war and of peace. A pair of vital omni-generators, a cache of spare parts and a flash-scroll of relic files containing ancient lore - a treasure worth much to many.

A great battleaxe was found on their altar, and after much doubt, you convinced your men that the Machine-Father would forgive them if they defeated many enemies in his name, and took the blessed weapon.

Though meat and machine was found in abundance, signs of your neighbors are scarcer. It is as if they've gone without a trace - become one with the air, and blown away into forever.

--

You return triumphant, with the body of Olaf-132 returned to his wailing wife and weeping father. His cybernetics were divvied - his good arm to his growing son, his brain-implants returned to his father, and his warrior-organs given to his warrior-kin.

You have the Synthesiser installed in your igloo. You thank it for its assistance, and plead it not to poison you and your people. It agrees, and you take its word for it.

Now that your tribe's bellies are fed, and will continue to be fed, you can set your gaze on other pastures. You could march now, to raid or wage war, or you could fortify your tribe, train men, or whatever else you deem necessary before you unite the technorth.

+1, and Read the Relic Scroll, we might obtain more Power from it. We should train as many Cyberbarians as we can, before scouting the Area for other Tribes.

With the elders and their apprentices gathered, you take stock of the machinery you had recovered from your neighbors. On parchment, raided from a southerner caravan, young man and old crone alike administer your armory.

The two omni-generators are put to immediate use alongside your original one. They convert water, of any form, into energy. Thus, no snow rests at the feet of your generators - in fact, the warmth and moisture even let a flower or two blossom. You have often heard of the generator-gardens within the laboratory-palaces, and their beauty is unmatched.

An omni-generator is the heart of any technorth settlement. They power the heating, they recharge the weaponry, and most vitally, they fuel the cyberbarians' bionics.

Many a warhost has been reduced to a single, freezing man after a cunning foe had sabotaged their omni-generator.

The cache of spare parts contained sundry electronics and tools for repair. They are added to your stores, and are already put to use in repairing the wirings of your tribe's igloos.

The battle-axe, already a mighty weapon on its own, doubles as a conduit for magic. The shaman who used it previously must have been a mighty warrior with a mightier mind.

You could replace your Great Staff with the battle-axe. Though not as honed as your staff to the winds of magic, the battle-axe is a great weapon in melee.

Finally, the relic scroll is decoded by your own shamans. Within are files of text documents: works of the great mecha-skald Odin-66, a poem by a mysterious warrior from the stars, penned in the great Babylon of the south, and hieroglyphs from the Setting Kingdom, far to the west. These files could fetch a good price in other lands.

Your warriors train individually - the cyberbarians of the technorth eschew the rigid formations of the mercenary-armies of the south. Neither do they subscribe to the siege philosophies of the west. Your men favor individual challenges, ambushes, and raids, as all true men of the north do.

You have your scouts prepare to survey your territory. The only tribes you know of in the area are your own and your missing neighbors'. Perhaps more have been raised, or a host marches near here.

What orders would you give your scouts, and to the rest of your tribe?

Whoa, time sure did fly. It's been a while.

Send the scouts to find tribes or caravans to trade with.

Use the tinker magic, to see if you can use an omni-generator to create something that can carry a couple people across the snow at faster speeds.
