So basically transitioning this from a multiplayer game to a suggestion one?

It'll still be a multiplayer game, but taking place within a single city rather than across a nation.  There will be an NPC Fuedal Lord of the city, and the players will be either one of three prominent noble families or five emerging families.

I had been toying around an alternative of trying to port the national level game into Crusader Kings II and everyone posting perspectives of their characters based upon sessions of the game, but there are a couple issues.  First, I don't believe everyone owns that game.  Second, organizing it so everyone would be at each session would be quite difficult.  Third, I have no idea how to make Crusader King II maps.  Finally, I am somewhat tempted to go through with the city idea in order to get a setting for a game I am thinking of making.

Not sure I have time right now, but I might after exam season ends in a week and a half.

The same is true on my end, so whatever happens won't start up for a week at best.  I'm just bringing it up now so things could be ready to go when it finally does start.

Ah, okay. Still in the same universe?

Anyway, I'm still interested after hearing that. Mind if I reserve one of the noble family spots?

The city in question will be a part of a group of city-states to the south.  Unlike the grassland coasts of the Day Dynasty, the area between the collection of City-States and the Kingdom of the Twelfth Bay is a desert that abuts the ocean.  The length of this terrain feature is enough that conquering and holding the area was viewed as too costly in terms of the cost of conquest and maintaining control for the benefits that would be provided.

Think as being more of a Merchant Republic type of noble family rather than a Fuedal Lord type of noble family.  I'm not saying that you don't have the chance of later getting land, I'm just saying that, at the start, much of your prominence would come from having a good deal of wealth.

Well, we probably do own land if it's a merchant republic, just not near as much as even the least feudal lord, since all the levies and such go towards the prince of the republic (If such an obligation even exists.)
