Unmanaged Workshops

So, maybe there's a way to do this, but if so I haven't found it...

There ought to be a way to designate a workshop so that it won't take jobs from the manager, either to isolate it or set it aside for particular projects.

The only way currently is to fill it with suspended tasks. I'm pretty sure Toady's working on stuff like this for the next release.

More likely on something like realistically simulalted hair growth over calendar periods and during world generation.

Of course Toady's going to focus on the important things like simulated beard growth. What else would he be working on? Fixing bugs features? What's the point in that?

I may be wrong, but I think I saw something along these lines in the Future of the Fortress recently. There were plans that task specification through manager will include picking workshops for job orders.
