Plague vs Cure: Sign Ups
« on: February 28, 2016, 08:38:23 pm »

3 plagues have developed a paradoxical intent to destroy humanity. However they are completely harmless for now.

A few specialists have a destiny to lead humanity away from this doom.

Humanity as a whole will need to be involved in important democratic decisions that may mean giving up conveniences and comforts for survival.

Which organism will win?

This will be a messy prototype of a game I think, but if it's fun I'm sure it can be polished. So with that I thank for your overlooking my shortcomings in quality haha, as we have the delicious task of combining one of the most addicitive computer games with one of the most challenging boardgames. THIS IS!

Plague vs Cure

Sign Ups
My goal is to plan a 5 day game, that said be prepared for about 15 days. Like night and day phases in other games, there will be a phase for specialists, and then a shared phase for humanity and plagues. Cycles may become irregular based on my availability and activity in this thread, so thank you for your patients(medical joke).

Plagues
1. taken
2. taken

3.
PM me to be a plague. No one will know you are a plague, so you may post bad advice in the thread. However, unless you choose the 'Hysteria' symptom, your identity will be revealed upon discovery of your disease.

Specialists
1.
2.
Waitlist
Post that you'd like to play as a specialist. You will be given a random role to help you as you travel the world and utilize your skills for the good of humanity. This is a very important role, and you will make several critical decisions each turn. Please be willing to pop in once a turn to make them, at most once a day.

Humanity
All spectators(aswell as plague and cure players) will have poll questions on deciding how to respond and react to new events. Some events may have nothing(directly) to do with the pending plague threat, but will still affect the game.

Please understand
I will totally abandon this game if I get bored or writers block. I may rudely try to revive it aswell.

I think it might be a good idea to post the rules/details of this game.

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

Please keep an eye on my second post if you like and it will be coming.

That said, please understand, I am an improv designer. I am cheating for this game I have access to plenty of stock mechanics and gameplay to reference, however I find it exciting to press start sooner than a more traditional host would. It will come though, so if you'd like sign up after you've seen more of the content summarized. That is fine. Spots are limited however, I have no problem favoring the bold.
