Dumping caged creature?
« on: February 23, 2016, 09:46:18 am »

So a were-elephant attacked my fort. Now he is dead, but the three dwarves that defeated him got infected. They are also stuck in cages (passed out on my minefield of cage traps), meaning that whilst they transform every month, they can't do anything. I have a magma dumping pit (for refuse), but I can't built the cage on the trapdoor. I'm thinking about dumping the cage in the magma dumping pit (1x1 dumping zone), but I'm worried Urist McHauler might remove Urist McInfected from his cage and then I've got a werecreature stuck in my fort. Is there a way to safely get rid of the infected creatures?

don't take the above seriously. This is actually a pretty helpful group of people. Welcome to the insane asylum.

*Urist McEnlightened has been found dead, Enlightenment aneurysm.*

When they are not transformed, open the cages, recruit them, station them under a bridge, pull the lever, problem solved.

If you k over the cage and designate it for dumping (as opposed to mass designation with d-d), they'll dump the cage with all its contents and you'll be safe.
