So what is this?
YALNPV is a NSIS based installer for Dwarf Fortress. It acts like a one-time Lazy Newb Pack, as it is able to configure several settings based on user input during installation.

So why should I use this over PeredexisErrants LNP?
The LNP is... large. It contains several utilities some users may like (Dwarf Therapist for example is something I don't see anyone play without most of the time) and others that are... less useful (Two legends viewers, Armok vision on low-end pcs).

YALNPV aims to include various utilities/graphic packs but permits the user to choose on what they want to include. At the moment, Dwarf Therapist and Soundsense are included, and I intend to add more.

So it's like the LNP but with no nice launcher?
Er... yes. But as you chose what utilities you want, you also know how to use them, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Do you recommend YALNPV for noobs?
No. For noobs, the LNP is still the thing that I recommend. YALNPV is for those that are a little more experienced in Dwarf Fortress and know what they want included or not.

Can you include graphics pack/utility X?
Sure I can (I hope). For graphics packs I will need to get written acceptance from the maker, and utilities can be added if they add a License file. Those that made a graphics pack may also want to check out this wiki page to add it themselves.

What is currently included?

• Dwarf Fortress 0.42.06
• Dwarf Therapist 37.0.0
• Soundsense r2015-1
• Quickfort 2
• DFHack 0.42.06-alpha2
• The ability to change several settings before the pack is installed

License notes
The dwarffortressnsis.nsi script is licensed under the MIT license. This means that you are permitted to do whatever with the script as long as you don't hold me responsible for it. (Although crediting me is required if you modify and release your code).

All utilities have been properly credited under the appropriate licenses.

Dwarf Fortress itself (including raws) is included unmodified in this package. This is allowed because Toady lives of donations. Dwarf Fortress.exe is not modified during installation.

I just manually installed 42.06 plus these utilities(and Quickfort), took me about 15min. I'll keep this in mind for the next release might save me some time. Thanks for sharing!

Hey thanks! Quickfort is under the Apache license (which permits redistribution according to http://choosealicense.com/licenses/apache-2.0/) so I won't promise anything, but you might see it in YALNPV soon!

It's not specific to legends mode - it crashes when specifying a historical figure to engrave on a statue, for instance.

(Also, does anyone have any suggestion/tips for tools that they want to have included. I mean, I just added the tools I myself use a lot with fortress managment, but I'm open to suggestions.)
