Would anyone be interesting in a play-by-post Deadlands game? The D20 version is what I was thinking. It's a wild west horror/steampunk game, but I think I'll let the website explain it.

Deadlands, a horrific journey into the “Weird West”: Mysterious beings called the Reckoners have given life to monsters and magic, causing history to divert from July 4th, 1863 forward. The South has won its independence, California has shattered into a labyrinth of flooded sea-canyons, and a mysterious super-fuel called “ghost rock” has spawned as much war and strife as it has “steampunk” devices.

Players are steely-eyed gunfighters, card-slinging sorcerers called hucksters, mysterious shamans, savage braves, mad scientists, and more who battle against evil and attempt to prevent the “Reckoning”.

I've read through the rules before but never played. I'm interested!

I'm interested, but that character sheet is a bit intimidating.

Yeah, agreed. Honestly I don't know if we really need to go into that much detail with it.

I remember there being a bunch of pre-built characters in the book if you really want to avoid the sheets :p.

To be entirely honest, I'm mostly interested in the setting, rather than the system. We could run in normal RTD style, if you guys would be amiable to that.

Yeah I'd be down for that. That may also allow a little more freedom of character creation as well.

That would be fine with me. All the numbers stuff is up to the GM and usually happens behind the scenes anyway.

This seems pretty cool, yeah. I also agree with the RtD system idea, the character sheet is a little complicated for my tastes.
