Now, this may seem odd, but I decided this time to make suites for my migrant dwarves (because I can) according to family structure, and I noticed that dining rooms, which would logically be family-owned, are still individually-owned. This creates the awkward situation where I can set up a dining room for a three bedroom unit (married couple with two kids) but the kids aren't able to eat at the same table.

It's a very small thing, I know, and can easily be explained as an idiosyncrasy of dwarven culture, but it would make more sense if dining tables, or certain other properties could be owned by a family unit, at least until the kids become adults.
