Moving around the friendlies.
« on: August 19, 2011, 08:33:41 pm »

So I've got an embark with some human bandits, and they are marked as friendly. How can I move them to an area of my choice?

Bridge catapault?

That would be a very fun idea, but I'm trying to not... possibly kill them, ya know?

I figured someone would suggest cave-in into a cage trap also, but I'm trying to avoid that one if possible.

capture a bunch of violent and dangerous creatures, say giant badgers, and stuff them into one cage. Deconstruct that cage and build it again next to the bandits and hook it up to a lever, pull it once your dorfs are out of range. I guarantee you the humans won't be there for long.

He said he was not trying to kill them >.> dunno why... Have you though of a lure to get them to move? I don't really know how you would go about moving them...peacefully. Quietust or girlinhat can probably give some ideas.

Sorry not killing things just feels wrong. I guess you could use less dangerous but still annoying creatures I don't know about the ai bandits use so I couldn't say whether they would run or fight.
