Question About Avatars
« on: December 19, 2017, 05:33:03 am »

So I've tried and failed to get an avatar to display. I've tested other users avatars and oddly they seem to work fine for me but when I attempt to use an image I've uploaded or any other image it does now work.

I've tested images from Imgur, and a few other random sites using the direct links to the images and nothing has worked thus far.

It's entirely possible (perhaps likely... :P) I've missed something completely obvious.

I encountered a problem like this recently. Try making the url "http" instead of "https".

Also imgur has a thing where it redirects you to the album view of ecen individual images these days I think, so if you just copy the address from the address bar you get the album adress instead of the image address, which doesn't work well with avatars. Or something. I'm having trouble remembering what the kind of trouble I had some weeks ago was. But I think it was something like that.

Also if Tawa's advice fixes it you are obliged to use Tawa's current avatar too. It's the law.

That was the solution. Thank you very much!  :D
