Is there another way to run simple lua scripts without DFHack?

Any other tools or methods for doing this?

That depends on what you want your Lua scripts to do - if you want them to interact with Dwarf Fortress, then DFHack is the only option.

DFHack is the tool to run simple lua scripts.

That depends on what you want your Lua scripts to do - if you want them to interact with Dwarf Fortress, then DFHack is the only option.

I think it's technically possible with Cheat Engine, but completely pointless, since DFHack does basically everything Cheat Engine can do with DF but much easier and much safer.
