Carp are Creepy.

But you knew that already. I personally suspect them of being a race of intelligent sadistic goldfish bent on revenge against their masters. They laughed at me!

After this my entire fortress death-spiraled.

That's nothing. One time, my game crashed after I viewed an engraving of a carp. As soon as I tried to back out of viewing... crash. It from then on in crashed each and every time I started up the fort. I abandoned quickly (Crash happened 30-40 seconds after opening) and went there as an adventurer. Stopped crashing, but when I viewed it, it said "This is an engraving of a two carps by Urist vonCarver. The carp is laughing. The carp is making a threatening gesture."

I lol'd for days.
