Auto spacing for digging rooms
« on: September 26, 2015, 12:30:58 am »

I remember seeing something somewhere about using a quick key command to plan a 10x10 room; something like tab with the arrow key, or similar.
I've been searching and cannot find any info on this.
Can someone please point me to a list of such useful key combinations?

Shift+Arrows moves you 10 tiles at a time. Press enter to designate digging, shift+right, shift+up, enter to finish designation. Voila, a 10x10 room.

If you want something more complicated, I would suggest recording a macro.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

It will actually be 11x11 if I'm not mistaken, since the point of origin is dug but isn't count in those ten.
You can also use numpad as arrows for diagonal cursor movement.

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?
