This is a challenge where you need to download my game with save file with Xavien and make a adventurer who will kill him (and of course his undead beasts ) here are the rules:
1.No dfhack or cheats
2. You can use a attribute grinding method
3.you can become a vampire or necromancer
4. you can use legends viewer to find him
5.And of course you need to kill him
6.when fighting him you need to listen to "never gonna give you up" song just for fun

What starts are allowed? Can the adventurer in question start as a demigod? Because from what I've read Xavien seems like he'll be a tough nut to crack.

Took a shot at it. Got an axedwarf starting half a day's march to the vault. Got two companions and traveled straight there. The first being inside ignored us. The next one tore us apart.


What mods are with this? The dropbox has LNP stuff, but I use pure vanilla. I didn't notice any problems for the most part, though my errorlog ballooned to over a megabyte from pathfails.

Alright I think I've drawn out what I think might be a successful plan of action, do I need to download the starter pack as well from the dropbox or can I just download the .40.24 file? My internet and such is terrible so keeping the file size down is preferable.

Ok so you need to just download and install the region file, df starter pack and Deon's wanderer mod for 40.24 version and this should be fine

Yes he is tough and starting as demigod in df adventure mode is hard enough so you can have a "demigod".
And I will give you next rule:
when fighting a Xavien you need to listen to "Never gonna give you up" song just for fun
