Glass "ceilings" (floor on z-level above) causing crashes
« on: September 11, 2015, 04:36:12 pm »

So I'm making a huge glass ceiling over my courtyard but it keeps crashing my game. My only thought it maybe trees are trying to grow below it, and its creating an error. Anybody else run into this problem or have any suggestions?

Maybe you should appoint some female dwarves to high-ranking positions, just so the dwarves don't get the wrong idea and rebel against your outdated sexism :)

Seriously though, while I've never had this, I've never built near trees. And browsing the forums, a lot of these cases have been trees. Have you checked? Try cutting the nearby ones down, if you haven't already.

I figured it out! Trees kept growing and occupying my pre designated "build glass floor here" area and crashing the game when someone went to build it. Thanks!
