Prod and Pull - Testgame - Round 2
« on: December 09, 2015, 11:23:16 am »

It is said that when the new World was born it was born to the sound of fiery feet shattering a many-colored span. The sun and moon had been devoured and as the Old World fell space for a hundred new ones was made.

As it grew the World was however assailed by the Primordial Chaos and only through the songs of the Lawgiver, Order was brought into the World. The Dissonance of Chaos was drawn apart, brought together and guided to create Harmony.

And out of htat Harmony the First City was born: Ili'inis. With it came the first people, in their own tongue the Ili'in. The Ili'in were a law abiding people, safely protected by the lawgiver.

But as the centuries of Struggle between Order and Chaos waged back and forth like the Ebb and Flow of the Seas a new thing was born. Order mixed with the wild struggles of chaos and forth came War.

The Chaos granted form, shaped by Law and imprisoned beyond the Wall, brought forth War itself. And so the Ili'in learnt to fight against what spawned from the gaps between the worlds.

A war which lasted for thousands of years, great wars sung about in a hundred Ili'ian ballads and epics.

The one day, the Lawgiver disappeared, the Throne of Order left empty. And Chaos which had fell back so many years was strengthened anew as the Ili'in knew their first dissonant word: Gree'li'in. The word sounded in their tongue like the scratching of fingernails across a chalkboard.

As the ruler left the order vanished and the Ili'in fought over the Throne of Order and disagreed, some wanted to open the gates to chaos others wanted to leave into the thus far unexplored world. In the end a brother war began and only ended when the Gree'li'in were banished beyond the First Wall and Relior sat the Throne with his Consort (or as some would call her: his Excutioner) Elleanor at his side.

Order was returned by the seven enforcers and for a while peace reigned. But pushing back chaos required all the power of the ascendant and so Ili'inis was left to its own devices. A City forever at war with itself...and beyond it's walls a thousand outsiders trying to batter their way in.

Turn 1

Oliana stared down at the Camp stretching as far as she could see and then beyond the colorless sky. Countless in number war had arrived. Led not only by the Traitor Wrohd but also by other beings. Things gigantic in size with scales and fangs, spitting fire. But far worse were the upright beings looking most disgusting with their indescribable unnatural pallor and the flesh protrusions at their heads. Armed in metals unknown to her and screaming in discordant voices with their primitive language they formed the bulk of the invaders. They were however easily dispatched breaking down and weeping fluids when their own Ili'ian War Songs were intoned.

Most curiously was however that these strange things were apparently capable of art. She looked at a deck of painted cards she found among one of their vastly inferior choirs. Strange and at the same time familiar images were on it. She considered it for a while and decided she would study them closer when the time of meditation came. For now, there was another wave of these strange invaders charging across the vast corpse-filled trenchworks.
