Preacher
Invite the preacher to High Bastion, so we can talk.

Military Matters
The Lancers are all issued pennants in the Ladron colours (smaller than the banner which Idris carries), along with surcoats and caparisons, also in Ladron colours. They are the sons of nobles, and they must be glorious! Also, any spare metal produced by the mines is to go towards suits of plate for the Lancers.

1st and 2nd Company are to continue building at Fort Dalmor, whilst the Lancers continue to patrol around the countryside.

At the end of the month 1st Company, 3rd Company and the Lancers are to convene at Fort Dalmor, and after any preparations they feel they need (such as producing ladders/boats/etc) including two days of only light work, they are to assault the barricaded bridge. See battle plan below.

Economical Matters
Complete those windmills and marketplaces, encourage skilled wood workers to make use of the superior wood, encourage travelling merchants to visit the villages and town and finally license hunting in the forest. This should increase prosperity.

Mercenaries
The pavise crossbowmen and the slingers are hired, and sent to join 3rd Company.

Before the assualt, have the men be well rested and fed. Do not have any serious training for two- three days before. Afterwards, hold off on training again

The slingers have more men, and charge less than the crossbows, but are not as professional or skilled.

I guessed as much. Alright, I'll be editing the turn in a mo.

Battle for the Bridge: Briefing
After a month of work your forces move up to the field in front of the barricade and take up position on a small hill. Overlooking the barricade you get a rough estimate of the enemy force. You can see a decent amount of spearmen walking about, the majority wearing breastplates, but those who aren't do not wear anything but their clothes. Their archer contingent seems to comprise a significant part of their force defending the barricade. ~40 spearmen ~15 archers.
You bring your catapults onto the hill, and send your crossbowmen and slingers to attack the enemy wall.
Your brightly colored lancers seem to boost the morale of nearby troops.
Your troops are as follows
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The terrain of the battle is rather simple, the bridge with the barricade across the river, with light forests surrounding it on the opposing side, your side sees a plain coming up to the river, with little cover other than a few rivulets and rises in the land, and the small hill out of now range on your side of the river.

Do our catapults have a longer range than their bows?  I hope so. Start bombarding the bridge with shots that won't damage the bridge but will damage the barricade. If that's not possible, launch gravel or something anti infantry.  Also move the bowmen in to engage with our slingers and  crossbow men. Order second company to make ready with ladders to scale the barricade on my command.

Your catapults will be out of range of the enemy, but they will also have to fire over the heads of your own men.

Iirc,  catapults fire in an arc, iso we should be Ok.  If not,  would it be possible to just place them at an oblique angle to the barricade? Also, unless they choose to sally forth or something this battle will be progressing at the whim of House Ladron, so I'll give you some conditions to keep going 'til in a bit.

Ok, this has been sitting long enough. Proper battle plan time.

The catapults are to reposition to the side so they are firing over the water at the barricade instead of over my soldier's heads. If that's not possible then fire with as high an arc as possible. The payload is pebbles about the size used by the slingers.

The slingers, crossbowmen and archers from the other units are to all engage the archers on the barricade. The crossbows should focus on kill shots, the rest on suppression. With 24 slings, 2 catapults and 8 archers to keep their heads down we shouldn't take very many casualties.

Keep on with this until the enemy does something other than 'hold the line', we kill all visible archers, or we somehow lose over half of our ranged forces.

Finally, I'm totally ok with Riley joining us.

One final question though. What's the barricade made of,  and is there a gate of some kind in it?

edit: stupid phone autocorrect.

Alright, the barricade is simple wood, with a basic wooden gate, and two guard towers.
