Window error?
« on: August 22, 2015, 03:09:39 pm »

Hello, I always played with Phoebus, so I wanted to try ASCII. But now there is an empty space ( a black space). With Phoebus that din't happen. My screen resolution is 1920x1080. What do I do???

I'm guessing your embark is too narrow to actually fill the window. Try zooming in.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I resized my embarking site, now that black space disappeared, but now I'm wondering if this will not decrease my fps?  ???

Use one of the ascii tilesets on the wiki which is the same size as the Phoebus set you're used to.
Default ascii set is pretty small on modern monitors if I recall correctly.
