So, a weregiraffe is pretty tough

I had a visitor, who managed to sneak almost to my main entrance, before my guard dogs spotted it, ám Lonwisho, Weregiraffe.

My fort is in it's second year, and I only have 6 militia dwarves: 2 veterans, 2 recruits and 2 marksdwarves (who are just recruited and are in the process of equipping themselves).

I managed to kill it, but it wasn't pretty.

The combat logs were pretty much like this, so not much chance of infected dwarves.

I remember one time I was modding leokin, a lion-people civ, and the leokin fortress got attacked by a weregiraffe.  The infection spread and the entire fortress was drenched in blood as the leokin weregiraffes tore the settlement apart.  I thought it was funny as hell.
