husked zombie
« on: November 20, 2015, 05:04:05 am »

Embarked in an evil biome with clouds and resurrection. When a cloud spawned, a zombie rabbit was caught in it and became a husk. I was under the impression that only living things could become husks. After a while the husk left the map like a normal animal. I can only wonder what havoc a husked zombie buck rabbit would inflict on an unsuspecting fortress.. I will try to catch another one if it happens again.

Also, if you ever figure out why poets/bards/dancers just randomly start butchering people/getting butchered, please don't fix it, I love never knowing when a dance party will turn into a slaughter.

It won't make the thing much tougher to kill besides the second round of stat boosts. It will make it slower, though.

Oh, I missed that it was already a zombie. But I'm pretty sure that all husks present a sizeable danger. At least if you don't have a good military. (Or cage traps.)

So, I suppose now would be the time to ask: does getting husked bring back its ability to  learn, or does zombie nix that forever?

Probably doesn't. Creatures can only learn if they already had the ability.

"Behold the cave of Koganusan."

"Right. Keep me covered."

"What with?"

"Just keep me covered."

"Too late! There he is!"

"Where?"

"There!"

"What, behind the rabbit?"

"It IS the rabbit!"

Not sure if dying of old age is an honor or a shame for weaponmasters. On the one hand, it means they never got the opportunity to die in glorious battle. On the other hand, it means nothing could beat them in glorious battle.
