things to kill?

Will I keep having things to fight? I already killed 5 forgotten beasts and there are no goblins near me, will I eventually run out of FBs to kill, and is there a chance a hostile civilization will move nearby?

Last time I checked the legends list, there can be over a 100 FB generated, all of which have the potential to invade your fort. It would take a long time to kill all of them.

In theory, wild animal populations should regenerate enough that they are effectively close to infinite. So, if you don't wall off the caverns or are on a dangerous map, hostile fauna could keep attacking forever.

If you ever do wipe out all living FB on your map, I think you should go outside for a while.

Having a goblin town near my embark point is pretty much a requirement for me, keeps things interesting.  If there isn't a goblin town visible on the mid size map on embark then I don't bother.
