Pray to Armok

On the main page of dwarffortress site , Toady gave the link of a guide in French .

On this guide , you can see two  maps  , between  the "Legend viewer" and "Un peu d'histoire" Titles ( juste above zach and tarn adams pictures in dwarfmode graphics ).

The first map is the kind of map you get in legend mode when you export maps. But the second map ? How can you have a map like it was one of fantasy story ? Does an utilities can do this ?

That looks hand made.
The game definately doesn't have the capability of making a map that looks like that - None of the needed art assets are located anywhere.

That map is almost certainly hand-edited. But it could have used something like this as a starting point.
