Kid McLegendary there, biological daugher of Mrs. McLegendary (and honorary daughter of Mr. McLegendary because I didn't know the empregnate script doesn't seem to add the dad properly, though Urist does respond to her favorably like she is his child and talks about being happy to be a parent, he just doesn't mention her by name as his daugher >.<) is who I grabbed those screenies with while I leave the parents back in the fort to try and see if they'll produce more kids the old fashioned way.
She's got a full set of artifact armor, a war hammer, shield, and the battle axe she was mooded to make herself:
I'm waiting to view the descriptions on the gear because they aren't finalized until you actually view them, hoping I can get herself adventuring on her own armor, but yeah, this world has easily my favorite fortress in it, was the first world I adventured in, and has lots of flaws I wish I could get rid of (west half of the map is mountains, bogeymen are just annoying for the McLegendary clan rather than t a threat, I embarked in a spot that looked neat locally without checking to see that there were some spots with amazing potential further south, I made certain choices building the fort which I would do differently having ran around it as an adventurer, and so forth) but it is such an active world, it's got almost 6 years of fort mode and close to two years of adventure mode history, there are wars and armies all over, and even though it isn't as rich in options and settings as I could have made it, I am STILL finding new stuff if just because now I know where to look. So yeah, I will never again make a distinction between fort mode and adventure mode.
I now make forts with the intention of them providing interesting places to visit, fun to run around in, useful to resupply or upgrade gear at, and such.
Similarly I now make adventurers with the intention of making things better for my people and worse for our foes, of securing a place in history for myself and my civ, and for making things more interesting in the world around the fort in general, even if that doesn't always mean safer.
