"Lightsaber with google" An AR phone+computer lightsaber game

So, I just discovered this:

Here's a gameplay video

You'll need both a relatively recent-ish phone and a computer. It runs in a browser on both devices, no download required. It's not completely awesome. And personally I had to recalibrate twice to get it to play adequately. But it's kind of neat. And presumably a hint of things to come.

I found it quite a nice idea. I thought to get my Father in to have a go of it...
After failing to listen to both my instructions on how to hold it and the on screen instruction, thus resulting in having to reload everything cause he broke it somehow, he got a go of the corridor. THEN IT BROKE ON ENTRY TO THE HANGER! My Father, Breaks things...

Yes, implementation is a little weak but it's a great idea. I think it's more exciting that this is a tiny hint of what's to come.

What did your father think of it? I've occasionally blown some minds with cute little tech demos like this. A significant portion of people still have 2000s expectations for technology.
