Has anyone adventured with one? Do they pose a sleeping hazard? Can they feed if you knock an opponent unconscious, and how would other companions react?

No. Don't know. Yes. They become hostile toward the vampire

I got a vampire to give me directions one time. Even while sleeping, nothing bad happened.

I have a party of vampires from my fort called ancientlife they are all my kinsmen and they also work in the fort if they want to.
All ex adventurers, one is missing his limbs.
Its pretty fun, none have complained about me drinking blood.
When I had the leader working in the fort he severly lowered the population
