Hate/dislike string
« on: March 07, 2015, 02:19:20 pm »

We already have prefstrings but why not hate strings as well. We could hate elves for thier clean shaven faces, or humans for thier freakish size, even keas for thier evil thieving natures.  :)

I think those can be added. There's the [VERMIN_HATABLE] token which might seem like you can't enter a string to it, and might only be applicable to vermin, but I know of a mod that has [VERMIN_HATABLE:some text here] on full creatures. I don't know if it actually works in fortress mode, but it doesn't cause any errors so it seems like it does.

Its a feature. Impregnating booze is a planned tech tree for dwarves and this is a sneak peek at it.

I added [VERMIN HATEABLE] to dwarves once to make murders more likely. It didn't work, the one guy that had it was ecstatic most of the time, got elected mayor, and had a wife with 8 kids. "Detesting" dwarves meant he got upset by one less thing than everyone else, and that apparently made all the difference as he never had to put up the actual vermin nor with engravings of vermin like everyone else did.
