The outpost liaison comes
« on: February 22, 2015, 03:10:09 am »

I became the mountainhome, the king came with a giant for bodyguard (sadly he had to be killed) and the outpost liaison.
Its the first time I see this guy join the fort, and he wants an office! Quite an expensive one I must add.

If he makes some weird mandates Ill send him to inspect atom smasher.

Sadly the liaison is still just a liaison. You can't make him work, unlike your other nobles.

Why did you have to kill the giant??
To naked for you?

Ha, I modded an evil human race, far more evil than goblins. Gave them [LIKES_FIGHTING] and multiple litter, started a fort and the first diplomat came.
Except she didnt try make a deal, she just frightend everybody and chased the expidition leader around causing terrified of conflict thoughts. She never attacked though. Like a terrible game of tag. I locked her in the caverns for half a year only to forget about her and she got out continuing her game. I had to send the kill squad to deal with her.
The next diplomat he did the same. So I summarily executed him as soon as he gave me a reason. The third year another came did the same but finaly started the agreement screen.
"Im here to talk about your situation" then I said "Its the same as ever.... time for the yearly sacrifice, and you came just in time"

The elven caravan was in front of my door, the gaint attacked them and, for some reason my dwarves attacked the giant.
Even the king was punching the poor giant.

King: "You are my body guard, you are a pleasure to speak with, you are a dangerous beast and this now stands between us"!
Giant:  :'(
Elves: "it was inevitable"

Perhaps they lied about the aggrement and decided to kill the giant before paying for his/her escort services.
In any matter I always pay for giant escort services.

Huh. When my outpost liaison arrived, she deposited her child on the stairs, had her meeting, and left. I had to deal with a one day old emancipated dwarf baby wandering the fort. Wish I could have talked mine into staying, she was evidently a breeder...
