So I had a Goblin Siege show up, in which there were actually no goblins (surprisingly), and after it was all said and done one of my militia started fighting with the militia commander, and then everybody else who happened to get in his way from milkers and the mayor to the Chief Medial Dwarf. He was fine before, why's he going crazy and rampaging all of a sudden?

Have they gone insane? You might have to scroll through the announcements to find the message.
If they haven't gone insane then you may have a loyalty cascade or the 'civil war bug' going on.

None of them said that they were insane. The only thing I can think of is that one of them attacked and killed a dwarf who was a member of the goblin faction taking part in the goblin siege.

Do loyalty cascades happen when killing goblin-raised dwarves ? That is odd, i thought they only happened when a member of your civ killed another member of your civ.

I though when goblins raised dwarves that the dwarf had there civ changed to the goblin civ. I know the parents can get bad thoughts from having there child die but nothing more than that.

That's why I was confused that I was getting a loyalty cascade when they killed an invading dwarf.

Dwarves raised by goblins are, indeed, part of the goblin civilization, they do not cause loyalty cascades.
You are having another problem. I sure he hasn't gone insane? Are they  attacking with full force or just punching?

It's the invasion of goblin brain parasites! Flood the fortress with lava lest they dominate the entire world!


But seriously, whatever is happening there should not be happening. Do you by any chance have any mods or any settings different from normal?

Also, could a stray bolt or two trigger a loyalty cascade right that? Especially with the new behaviours, that might have gone a bit wrong.
Don't forget to save and then make a report with the save on the bugtracker.

friendly fire never happens (unless you count live creatures being thrown)

Ah well, seems like my memory might as well be thrown out at this point.

Still, a save would be nice, might have a pointer as to what actually went wrong.
