You might find it worth your while to check if there's a loose power cable on the GPU, or it isn't seated in the motherboard right, but if those things are fine then yes, your GPU is definitely bricked. You've been using your integrated CPU graphics (hence the computer acting like there is no GPU, low resolution, etc) and bypassing your GPU, ever since you plugged your monitor into the other slot.

I don't suppose you have a warranty on the card? You need a new one either way.

I'll see about all that when I get home, but I imagine it's the worst case scenario. :-\

Oh well. Thanks for the suggestions; hopefully it's something I can fix.
