One common trick in fortresses is the old 'fortification carving on the edge of the map' trick. I just thought that when an adventurer visits that fortress ... isn't that going to result in water/lava flooding everywhere?

Has anybody tried this?

It probably will.

Magma based "fuck the world" devices are also probably best left alone in adventure mode.
