farming pots red text for crops?

i'm use to the crops having "no seed" but what doe sit mean when the crop is highlighted red?

It means that, if you planted that crop, it could not be harvested before the season changes and it dies.

Although there was a bug in earlier versions that caused every crop to turn red in late winter.

No, no. It stops you planting seeds when the crops would be wasted. So any seeds you have planted should be fine.
