Crushing the depot

Is it possible to build a drawbridge, raise it, and then build a trade depot in the place where it will lower?

The best you could do is cast a block of obsidian above your depot and drop it. Bridges can only be built in places with nothing else designated.

You could also drop tons of platinum nuggets on it with a retracting drawbridge.
