You can only support hold a unit holding, support holding, or convoying. Support holding an attacking unit never has any effect at all.

I realize that with loss inevitible it kinda sucks to keep playing, but could turkey please stick around for the next few turns at least please? It kinda sucks sitting here waiting for every single phase, particularly with retreat and build phases coming up soon....

We don't need to wait for every single phase. After two missed phases in a row, the player drops out of the game, which means that we only will need to wait a day for the retreat phase, and assuming that turkey doesn't log back in to the game after that, we won't have to worry about waiting for him at all.
I understand that everyone else might be upset because it means its easier to take him then if he offered resistance, but I don't think resistance would actually let him live much longer.

Russian News Network - November 17th, 1903

War Comes to Europe!

A Fragile Peace has Shattered in Europe today as the great world powers collide! A German offensive on to French soil has nearly divede the country in half! Meanwhile the Royal Navy of England has come to their aid, landing troops in Holland and Belgium, bringing the offensive to German soil.

Meanwhile, in the south. The Glourious Empire of Russias armies have begun an offensive in to Turkish territory. Assisted by Autrian forces, the Russian Armed Forces landed in Ankara earlier this year, with no signs of slowing down.

Austrian forces, meanwhile, are in the middle of an intense war with Italy. Italian forces have moved in to Tyrolia, rolling towards Trieste, however Austrian forces counter attacked and managed to keep Italy from occupying the city. In the South seas, Austiran forces have captured the Italian Colony of Tunis in Northern Africa, starving the Italians of desperatly needed supplies.
