I vote were-dorfs being the most awesome. Once a month they transfer into a dorf! Then back into a dwarf! Ha. Although were-elves would be pretty sodding funny. Especially if a woodcutter or carpenter got infected. Cue one mental breakdown once a month...

...On the subject of actual werebeasts (which only transform into animals), I don't think you can control the manufacture of off-map werebeasts any more than you can control them onmap when they are transferred. The weretortoises were kind of cool, what with the shells if you killed them while dead, but other than that, they're a nuisance.

The original was cursed by a god. We can't control those, far as I know. It's easy to get a dwarf infected, though, just let him walk near the werebeast when it has turned, and it will bite, and presto, another were.
The difficulty, in fact, is in NOT getting dorfs infected. Sigh.

Mules gotta spleen. Dwarfs gotta eat.
Thisfox likes aquifers, olivine, Forgotten Beasts for their imagination, & dorfs for their stupidity. She prefers to consume gin & tonic. She absolutely detests Facebook.

but the transofmation happens when it becomes the day of transformation so the difficulty lies in not getting an infected dwarf killed which is why i want a dfhack script that does so

Werebadgers and were-elephants are particularly dwarven.
