It WOULD make an enteresting challenge fort though:

start with 1x bar of metal, on a metal barren hacked embark. Without cheating with dfhack, and without buying any additional metal bars, pull a "jesus christ at the sermon on the mount", and make as many metal bars as is possible by creative exploitation of this mechanic in one dwarven year.
