-A Fantastic Journey- [Suggestion Game]
« on: October 19, 2014, 10:46:49 pm »

“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
-Albert Einstein

"Free will is an illusion."
-Various

“Better to die fighting for freedom then be a prisoner all the days of your life.”
-Bob Marley

Your next few steps grant you entrance into the jungle, the canopy acting as a shield against the radiant sun. The foliage is denser than anything you'd seen before, or even imagined. Ferns caress your ankles, leaves brush against your shoulders. He's already ahead of you, his machete swinging around him like a pendulum, slicing through the fauna like they were practice dummies made out of straw. He flashes that grin to you, the grin that elicits feelings of both annoyance and security. He knows what he's doing. "City cat like you hasn't seen this type of shrub before, aye'?" His muted blonde hair and accent are of somewhere both exotic and familiar, but you haven't bothered to ask for his origins yet. He's just your guide after all. "Well, what are you waiting for? You cahn't stand there, we're burning sunlight out here!" You follow him because after all, you must. How else...?

Name: Your name of course.
Gender: Male or Female.
Age: Most likely somewhere between 13 and 65, anyone outside that range isn't fit to go through the jungle.
Appearance: Anything from a sentence to a paragraph concerning your physical traits would be fine.
Equipment: You packed for the journey, didn't you?

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

Tulio
Male
24
Brown hair, golden eyes. Pretty fit, for a city dweller.
Three sandals, a map of an island, an umbrella/walking stick, a waterskin, and a piece of steel from a broken fire starter.

The guide hacks away at the shrubbery, a path of fallen leaves and vines is created behind him. "Tulio, am I getting that right? Right, well then. We should be at the village within the next couple hours, you 'avent seen anything like it! Promise." The jungle floor begins to slope upwards, the light dimming as the canopy grows increasingly thick. Wild sounds reverberate from tree to tree, the buzzing of an insect or the hooping of a bird, the air thick with a tangible moisture. The guide hums something to himself as you ascend towards the village, the one populated with natives who will help you. You think. They're you're best shot at getting you where you need to go ultimately. No one back home would be willing to help you with the problems, they've all grown too accustomed. Accepting of where they will be. The path grows steeper, your guide calls back towards you, "If you don't mind me asking, why'd you come all the wait out here? There's no treasure and it's not like these are the only indigenous you have the chance to meet."

¨While that is true, I felt this would be a good way to get out of the city. See the world from a different perspective¨
