Imagine you're a monarchist is a people's dictatorship, and some lowborn punk comes to you claiming that you have become his leader by killing his previous leader (dad.) 3 guesses as to how you will react. We need someone they can trust, preferably this decade. If they start bringing us faulty intel, we can always execute them alter.

I'm guessing your using a phone and auto correct is kicking your ass. That's fine lord knows it's happened to me.

If im the monarchist and my dad/mother or some person close to me got killed by them then i would take steps to dismantle the organization OR get the real culprits captured or killed.

We need to pick someone with no relations to the group (or any that our office can find) and that would have a grudge against them for hurting them in some way. Preferably killing/injuring there family (or again, to the point where our office can confirm that).

February-1961
Your first decision is to name your small organisation "Republica Department of Affairs" or RDoA and it is announced to the public. It is received well, and people are happy to have a department focused on countering the "Antegria threat".

More importantly, you put your staff to work. It only takes a few days for them to locate both  Kolegrian and Antegriaan defectors, both of them have grown up in their respective countries, and are able to pose as Kolechian and Antegrian. Cara Elinovska, the defector from Kolechia, even has some knowledge regarding codes.    However, you do not have access to forged foreign passports, so for now they will have to pose as Republician.

For the internal security your staff found another interesting agent. A defector from the monarchy regime, James Espinoza  actually worked as an agent for the king himself. He is skilled in combat, coding and detective work. However, there is a small chance that he is a double-agent. There is also the risk that the monarchists will recognise him if he tries to infiltrate their organisation.  Another suitable candidate is Keira Tetley, a university psychology professor, she does know a lot about the human mind. Lastly we hired Kristian Lentz. His mother is from UD so he does speak Unitarian. Although he doesn't have the cultural knowledge to impersonate a citizen from United Democracy. All agents is currently sleeper agents. Trying to fit in in society and establish contacts. They will do so until they are given more specific orders.

In other news, the Monarchists have increased their terrorist attacks around Bostan, the city where they have the most influence. They government is ofcourse unhappy about this, as even more industries are destroyed. However, there are some good news aswell, The Republia has manage to secure an trade-contract with Impor, a contract that might help both countries economy for the better.

There is also a rumour within the government. The army is not displeased that the new Espionage unit is directly under the government, and that the military has no command over it. You have heard whispers that the army has decided to form its own espionage team. If this is more than rumours is yet to be seen.

You have been allocated some extra founds to invest however you see fit.

How will you spend the next month?

Espinoza is to go to the city of Boston and establish contact with the black arms world and general criminals. He is to take the Pseudo name "Black Mamba" and sell weapons and intel to whoever is interested. He must report back monthly by leaving a written messege at the abandoned warehouse we use. He'll be our Crime Lord who takes profit from all of this. That way he can get others to do the contacting for him. We should get him to find some Royalist leaders or their HQ.

Tetley is join the Army as a Psychologist for special forces units. Whatever Espionage team the army has they'll probally come from the ranks of those soldiers. Tetley being a psychologist will evaluate and advise leader ship in their missions. She is allowed to make contacts within the Army Medical and Psychiatric divisions to extend her web of intrigue. Her name will be "Knife". She'll report once a month at the warehouse by leaving a written message of her work. Her web, i hope, will get large enough soon to know what's going on in the army.

Finally, Lentz is to take to the underground world here in True Glorian. His mission is to make contact in the Underground world and get two pass ports for our other agents. 1 for Kolechia and 1 for Antegria. If he can intercept Illegal arms flowing through to the city of Boston then have him report that too, we may be able to know what exactly the terrorist have as armaments. Once a month he'll go to the warehouse to pick up reports on the other two agents and bring it to us. He is to bring in his own news while at the office. Also his name shall be "War-Chief".

Also, ask the government for security guards at our office to dissuade "hooligans". They only need light armor vests and pistols. Nothing too big. 4-5 will do.

Once we have those first two pass ports we'll unlock our agents and send them forth to become real agents. On their own they can make contacts over in their old countries.

The faster we can get the ball Rowling on these Royalist, the better. I do however wonder if they get there arms locally or from a foreign nation. Impor is a monarchy and Antegria has a spy program may have interest in us. To me Kolechia and the UD are probably not big suspects. If anything they probably like us the most, although that's not saying much.

Do we also know anything more on James though? Why is it that he "hates" the rebels?

EDIT: ((GM if we destroy the Royalist HQ and kill their leader will the terroist just die?))

I agree with most of that (bear that in mind), however I have a few notes.

He is to take the Pseudo name "Black Mamba" and sell weapons and intel to whoever is interested.
I won't object to it increasing social instability (you can't break eggs without making a few omelets), but we need to first get some weapons and Intel. We have neither (and at least far as weapons are concerned, have no plans to get any).
leaving a written messege at the abandoned warehouse we use.
Do you mean "An empty building in the outskirts of True Glorian"? That's in True Gloarian (about as far from Bostan as you can get and still be in Republia).
Finally, Lentz is to take to the underground world here in True Glorian. His mission is to make contact in the Underground world and get two pass ports for our other agents.
This isn't necessarily bad, but we seem to now have 2 agents in the criminal world. Can't Black Mamba get us the passports?

They only need light armor vests and pistols. Nothing too big. 4-5 will do.
You're not trying to sell these, right?

Do we also know anything more on James though? Why is it that he "hates" the rebels?
Isn't he a professional? I still don't think it's a good idea to send someone to infilitrate organisations they have strong emotional ties with (positive or negative.)

1. We have a bit of money to get him started off. Not too much of course in case he really is a double agent but just enough to give him a shot at being a crime boss. By the way, were talking about Mafia style subtlety not shoot the place up when the terrorist aren't doing so. That's just not our style.

2. Point taken...can he fax it to us?

3. He could but then he'd have to stop what he was doing to deliver it. Or send an agent down there to pick them up for us. Besides, it'll be good practice for Lentz. Another thing to think about is that the passports might not be very good or a trap for our other guys. Remember Antegria has it's own inteligence body that could be paying him...or the Royalist could use this as a way to get more support from Antegria.

4. No. I just want them there to put up a fight in case the Royalist get ballzy and try to storm us.

5. He won't be. He's simply collecting intel for us that he'll fax through. Once we know enough we'll contact the Army for "Field Support". We don't have the means to storm there HQ where there leader "X" is hidden. Therefore, we need the army to go in for us while we stand back and watch the fireworks. I know it'll make the army stronger in reputation BUT we could always say it was a "Intelligence Action" that destroyed the Royalist HQ.

Again, He's there to find out locations, times, and people. Not to shake the hands of his comrades or assassinate their leadership. Just info. If he's a double agent then we'll know.

We need more info on everything but we can't activate them all. Another thing we could do is have new recruits train with the army special forces but...we'll need there good will for that.

Actually, we should put in the request anyway. We are, after all, working for the good of the same country. Plus, I'm sure they are eager to see out recruits face to face, so that they will know who not to be infiltrated by (which is exactly why only Chief and Mamba will attend).

Your saying have War Chief and Black Mamba go in as trainee's under the military for say..combat training and counter-terrorism operations. While doing so Tetley (which i want to call Teddy Thousand eyes relinquish) will infiltrate them by becoming a Special Forces Psychologist. I hear during some special forces operations psychology experts are used to advice field units. Especially during say, combative sieges. So maybe she'll get in.

Possible plan if they get accepted: Thousand Eyes relinquish (+1 if you get the reference) can be there Field Master while we stay as the mastermind. In fact as our first plot we can have Black Mamba after training to Boston with some money to get him started. He'll have plastic surgery beforehand to look different and he'll begin his new career as a Mafia Boss. He'll take over a smuggling ring in the area and sell it to the terrorists. The Army will have disguised operatives pick up reports on activity in the area and what he's sold to the terrorist (if anything) and have a copy sent to us. Thousand will of course confirm the accuracy of these reports. She is NOT to give herself away if she doesn't need to.

Moreover, War-Chief after training is to begin his mission to get forged pass ports to Antelia and Kolechia. He may purchase or steal them, either way we don't care. In fact we could have Thousand eyes give him a heads up by going for academics who are coming from Antegria or Kolechia. Then he could just aim for them and he'd know where they will be. This is no matter if he gets accepted or not.

The others will be given a small stipend and be asked to live normal lives here in beautiful Republica...an wait for those passports. Don't tell them that. We can't let our agents know each other UNTIL were sure that they're 100% loyal to us. Not the Royalist, Military, another government branch, Antegrian intel, or any other country.

Spring

The quarrel between the army and the government grows worse as the Army refuse to disband their own secret service called "SAIG" (Security and intelligence gathering). The rest of the country celebrates the trade contract with Impor, which have greatly improved the economy, especially in the south. Otherwise this is a very calm spring, and nothing of importance happens.

During the upcoming months your agents to your best to infiltrate the army and criminal underground.

The military gladly accept your proposal and your two agents are allowed to train with their special forces. They do gain some experience in fighting, and Black Mamba is even able to surpass some of the army's special forces. However, the army knows the identity of these two agents. Thousand Eyes relinquish is successful in her attempt to infiltrate the army. She isn't hired at the special forces she is hired as a general Psychologist, and you hope it will give you some interesting information in the future.

Black mamba is shipped to Boston, unfortunately you do not have the proper equipment nor expertise for plastic surgery, but your staff do your best to give him a entirely new identity. He is given a decent starting sum and is able to establish a smuggling and informant organisation in the city using guns and "illegal" goods  bought by your staff.   He has yet to be contacted by any real terrorist organisation, but he has sold weapons and illegal gods to several private buyers. He has managed to gather some information;
There is atleast one smuggling ring importing weapons and drugs from Impor
One smuggling ring uses informants in the police to buy military goods and informaton.
The local government is very corrupted.
Name and identities of some private buyers (Handarms and drugs)

But all is not well. First and foremost Black mamba requests information to sell to the underground. The government is willing to see the other way when you sell illegal goods and weapons, but it might be hard to persuade them to give out important information even if it would give your organisation more credibility, and it might help you reach the more organised buyers. An even more urgent problem is that the police is on Black mambas tail. He is not experienced in the criminal arts and made some  embarrassing mistakes in the beginning. On the other hand it is possible for you to pull some strings and alert the local police that they shouldn't disturb your operation.

War-Cheif manages to get a hand of two Kolechian forged passports. It isn't the best piece of forgery you have seen, but it will get you over the border as a Kolechian citizen. Sadly he fails to obtain even a single Antegria passport.

The rest of your agents have nothing to report.

We'll pull some strings with the cops. They'll leave Black Mamba alone in exchange for a list of buyers who use their weapons. Basically when they have someone start a big murder spree or something they can send an undercover detective to ask Mamba who will in turn help in identifying with them. He won't make any arrests but he can be used as lure. If need be, we'll get the government to send the local cops more funds for their station.

Kolechia is kinda...bad. We should send Cara up with a passport to stay for a season and then return to see if there is anything of importance their but that's it. The best we can do is siphon of important specialist from the country, which is dangerous because they could be double agents or just rat us out.

War-Chief is to continue training with the special forces until he's as good as there very best soldier. He's also to make friends within the group for possible future acquisition.

Thousand eyes is to try and get promoted to either work with the Highest army officers or with SAIG. Have her also send dossier/psychological analysis of anyone she feels could be of use to us. Example a low ranking officer who's disgruntled with the Generals. Only send those when she feels she is trusted and not under suspicion for anything.

Cara is to join the Police as a SWAT member in the capital. She'll learn how combat training and detective work also. We'll speak with the Chief of police here in the capital to keep her identity concealed. When she's ready she'll transfer to Bostan and have her try and join the important smuggling ring from Impor. I'm sure they have contact with the Monarchist.

Let's leave the last agent lie on his back.

Yes, you can. Although that will be a permanent increase in your costs, so you won´t have any extra money for the upcoming seasons (Unless you manage to get a new grant)

Sadly this game seems to gather little interest, so I will probably shut it down.
