One of my nobles is a goblin
« on: September 03, 2014, 07:46:08 pm »

Specifically, he's my outpost liason (I just got a king) and he's not showing up in the list of things that I can assign to a bed.  He still requires a bed, office, dining room, and burial chamber, though.  Is there anything I can do in the raws to make it so the king's pet goblin doesn't go crazy?

I'm not sure, but I recommend killing the spy.

I'd wall him into a cozy 3x3 cell with a single piece of chalk, and see what happens.

He doesn't appear to give mandates, make demands, or have any thoughts, happy or otherwise.  I guess this will be OK.

The BLU Axe Lord strikes the BLU liaison in the neck with the *steel battleaxe* and the severed part sails off in an arc!
Dang Spiderstop, liaison, has been found dead!
Axe Lord (to Hammer Lord): Don't you see, he's the RED spy! See, red! Oh wait, that's blood.
Hammer Lord (to Axe Lord): The battle rages on... I must continue!
Axe Lord (to Hammer Lord): It was inevitable.

I find, in this new version, goblins seem to have been made peaceful. In adventure mode, I often find goblins in dwarven fortresses trading, human towns trading and working as recruits in the castle thing, elven towns in half the buildings, they just seem to have lost their thirst for blood.

But I put it back in them. I went around to every hillock, tree retreat, fortress, hamlet, and any place else I could find with goblins, cutting them down by the dozen. I suggest setting him up in a "room" full of iron serrated disks, cut him into tiny pieces, then leave the refuse for other goblins to find.

It's a dwarf.  Their natural habitat is "trapped on the wrong side of a wall".

Flinging children halfway across the map to land in magma is good, wholesome fun, but extramarital reproduction?  Why, that's just unseemly!
