Also: there are a few of you who understand this, but not everyone does.

Chain and mail (or maille) mean the same thing.  Saying the word chainmail is the same as saying chainchain or mailmail.  I understand what you mean, but am simultaneously very annoyed by it.  Please stop.

'Chain armor' or 'mail armor' or even just 'maille' are all very much acceptable.

Hm, no I hadn't been doing that. It's usually straight into the crossbow training, impatient as I am. I'll start training them in wrestling and shield use, and perhaps extend their towers upwards. That should help, I suppose...

... as should the new steel plate armor they're all encased in. Here's hoping none of them decide to be stupid and stand on an opening drawbridge with all of that armor on

There are different types of mail though. There is nothing wrong with specifying the type of mail being talked about (ie by saying 'chainmail'). Maybe its just me but its more annoying people trying to clarify against commonly used terms (such as 'chainmail') when there is nothing wrong with them.

p s - Chainmail.

Hah do i detect a hint of sarcasm? By that thinking half the words in this thread would be unusable.
