World Info After Creation?
« on: May 08, 2008, 01:58:00 pm »

Just a quickie; is there a way to see your World/region/fortress names and/or information after starting a game?

You see the world and continent names when you first embark. But after this, I've never come across that information again, and after a while I forget where I actually am!

P.S. Has anyone had particularly cool/interesting world or continent names? :] My last fortress (which I actually wrote down, so I wouldn't forget them) was The Symmetric Continent on The Wondrous Planet.

Ironically, the continent was far from symmetrical, and the world was, overall, a bit dull. xD

My 2nd fortress was randomly named Nashononlil Kun, (Bloody Breakfast of cats), located in the Forest of Rejoice in the Cycleopian universe.

Well, Moogie, you could try making a second world with the same seed and see if you can find where you embarked...

...why not backup the save, abandon the fortress, and reclaim?

Sure, I figure that. Just wondered if there was a menu I missed somewhere. It might've contained things I haven't yet discovered about the game. I'm still fairly new to it, you see.  :)

But by the sounds of it, I think I've discovered all/most of the menus now. I got my first Baron yesterday too. I'm slowly creeping out of newbihood...!

This game and this forum are extremely addictive.
