Possessed Child?
« on: September 04, 2014, 11:23:48 am »

This should be good...haven't seen this before.  The kid has claimed the craftsdwarf shop.  Talk about "Bring your kid to work day".  LOL

It can affect anyone who can work: I remember it hit a baby who literally JUST became a kid, like same announcement almost. His father was my legendary weaponsmith, and his son became a legendary armorsmith... The helmet he made had his father forging a sword on it...!  :'( Theeeeeen they all got killed by a dragon.

I thought children, having no moodable skills, would always take a craftsdwarf shop and always make a wood, stone, or bone craft item.

Oh yeah, forgot people still play vanilla.  :P I've given all races some natural skill: elves, archery, humans, mason, and dwarves, all metal working crafts.

I've never seen a dwarf unable to carry a load, no matter how heavy. They just move very slowly. But a moody dwarf won't go insane if it's in the process of gathering materials, assuming it can get to them, no matter how slowly it has to move. Did you look at the shop with 'q' to see what things the dwarf wanted? It was probably needing something other than stone.

It could be he needed cloth. I often find craft dwarves want cloth for anything.

The children in my forts always build figurines, I guess they really want to have dolls instead of the nothing that's usually there for them...

Also, doesn't possession mean they don't gain any skill?

They can be taken by any mood.  Mine withdrew from society, so ended up as a legendary wood crafter after that cup was made.
