Suddenly he was interrupted by shouting into the distance. The village mayor came running up to the group, followed far behind by a crowd of people who had come to see the aftermath.

"Out! I want them out!" he shouted, frantically pointing at Shayla and Sacha.

Aqi goggled at the mayor in disbelief, as he popped out of his cockpit, which was knitting itself together with the aftereffects of Sacha's magic. He spoke at the mayor in an indignant, if not too loud complaint.

Kester crawled out of the wreckage that was Carsinque, coughing, as a hatch burst open, smoke pouring from it. The platform that was supposed to be on the other side of the hatch was missing however.

He fell some 30 feet, unable to see where he was going, but landed in a particularly leafy tree, and dropped out of it rather more gracefully. His limp to the party was rather more accentuated with a generous -and creative- stream of curses. He was mostly out by the time he came up to them, though.

"Aggh...fuck...what's going -*hack*- on?"

"It's their fault that we needed saving in the first place! Whatever she has that caused this mess is something I want no part of! And miss mercenary over there is not without blame either. It's her impulsiveness nearly cost us the village. Look at this mess."

Chance scowled, despite re-opening the few scratches that managed to shut.

And if I understand it correctly, during times such as these it is of import for settlements to be prepared for any eventuality to aid their country in dire straits. I am no practitioner of such, but if I were, your words of denial would sound like those of a coward."

The boy's voice sounds scratchy, and he's favoring his left leg as he stands there, trying to clear out his lungs of smoke and soot.
