Hi all!

Should I engrave the memorial slabs for the creatures that was not the part of my fortress like in the following screenshot?

I don't think there is any benefit. You can save time and space by just dumping them. If you use a garbage dump, you can throw many into one square.

The only time I've ever had to worry about burying/memorialising anything that came from outside of my fortress was when a dwarven caravan decided that it was never going to leave and somehow integrated itself into my fortress without actually being part of it and all the traders were slaughtered in the next siege because the civilian alerts didn't apply to them.

Two of them returned as ghosts and started making people miserable before I worked out what was happening and got round to making them some slabs :|

Other than that I've had hundreds of sentient creatures die outside and inside forts and they've just been put in refuse without otherworldly complaint.

Simple answer: Probably not.

If you want to decorate your fort with masterwork memorial slabs to the fallen warriors that have died there, it could look cool and possibly add wealth. I can't see any practical benefits, though.

I like to make memorial halls dedicated to notable fallen enemies. Weaponmasters, megabeasts, anyone who killed one of my legendary military etc. But there's no reason to do so aside from flavor.
