Can reanimation biomes have evil weather?
« on: August 26, 2014, 04:59:03 pm »

...Or are they mutually exclusive? I've never seen, in my fortresses or others, a evil biome with both evil clouds/rain and reanimation. Is this just bad luck, or is it impossible?

I've had a biome with reanimation and blood rain, but I'm not sure if that counts as 'evil' for the sake of the topic.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

I am 90% sure there is nothing stopping a biome from having both evil weather and reanimation interactions.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I think it depends on what you consider as "evil weather". If you mean something like blood rain, i think there could be both of them without problems, but probably reanimation is mutually exclusive with things like gas clouds and similar.

i have had both in one embark (i.e. reanimating and fog that made things "opposed to live) but im not sure if it was at the intersection of two (both evil) biomes or not.

I'm pretty sure I have had a biome with both husk clouds, and reanimation
and I know I have had a reanimation biome with annoying evil weather, like nausia, or itching, or blister causing things
