Pathfinding ... harder than you'd think.

Dorf at A wants to get to Trade Depot B.



It is too hard for his little dorf brain to manage. :P

He's probably just lazy.
You should NEVER appoint a dwarf with low sense of duty or high laziness or whatever might interfere with his duties to an important position.
It doesn't often matter if your weapon smith is lazy, as you rarely need a weapon RIGHT NOW, and it's OK when he does it when he feels like, however the trade caravan won't wait a year so here it actually DOES matter.

Yeah I dont see an issue here.  Is he trying and failing somehow or just 'no job'?  He may well be lazy, if he's really failing then the only thing i can think of is a burrow. (civ alert, not likely due to the miner i can see)

I don't use burrows. And I got the "~~~ cancels trade at trading depot. Cannot find path" message repeated a few times.

He did find his way there in the end.
