Regarding Graphic Sets
« on: August 09, 2014, 04:49:04 pm »

So I'm making my own Hobbit race, and I can't get the graphics set to work properly. I used the Phoebus set as a guide. I can't get it to use the graphics set for the military hobbits. It works fine for the standard hobbits. It is referencing the correct file (dun_halflings_art.png), and I checked the actual locations on the art file in triplicate. It just uses the standard human corpse tile for all military.

I'm sure this is something foolish I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

Usually when I screw up a graphic, it's because I didn't double check the size of the image itself.

You have [TILE_DIM:16:16] [PAGE_DIM:12:22], so it may help to make sure that each sprite is 16x16 pixels, and that the image fits 12 sprites wide and 22 sprites down.

Actually, I straight up copypasta'd the Phoebus dwarf art file, and simply erased the sprites and used that as my canvas. So it is exactly the right general size. I did just double check as per your advice BlackFlyme, and after counting some pixels everything lines up right. It does properly show the [STANDARD:DUN_HFL:1:0:AS_IS:DEFAULT] tile, just nothing else. It wont even show the corpse properly, and that's 0:0.

Did you make a subfolder called "dun" and put your png in it?

I did indeed. I got two other civs up and running with 0 problems, those being high elves and dark elves. I'm testing the military tiles in adventurer mode, is there anything special I need to do for adventurer mode?

I have chosen to display my blatant retardation, in the hopes that others may learn.

After 8 days, I realized that I HAD NOT RE-GENERATED THE WORLD SINCE I ADDED MY GRAPHIC SET. /region1 did not have the new art files. It's ok to laugh, because I just spent the last 10 minutes laughing at myself.
