Elves can climb "open air"?

I have created an elven adventurer, appeared on a tree, so I started to climb down, and some of the options were to climb to "E/Open Air", now I am IMO climbing through the air, the tree is nowhere to be found.

The exact command is "Climb to Open Space (East Holding North/Above/Air)"

do you have any screencaps of this?
wait no I tried this out you're really hanging off the branch above you. you can cling on to stuff that' above you in this game.
though I haven't figure out if you can grab onto ceilings yet but it's doable.
