Invasions may be fixed for the next release

Saw this today on the bug tracker:

This was really my only major complaint with the game at this time.
Early invasion, then nothing...ever.

That is my biggest fortress mode complaint as well. Glad to see the neighbors might be stopping by more often!

I just want every sentient being to stop popping out babies non-stop.

Invaders have babies, dwarves have babies, merchants have babies... I swear I saw a zombie have a baby, but maybe that was the heat.

I'm tired of my legendary dining room being an OB/GYN ward.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

There isn't much middle ground between killed-by-dragon and never-seen-by-dragon.

in the devlog update in question toady also mentions fixing sentient creatures breeding like animals, i'm pretty sure that will fix those problems (I feel kind of glad I never played 40.06 at this point  :P )

1 rabbit can kill a titan...

1 baby is approximately the size of a rabbit.

a dozen babies might be able to take on a dozen titans.

Should have held off on the baby-plosion release for after fixing the invasions.  :P

My current fort has a large surplus of children and babies taking up the population. My forts are all agriculture based, so at least the children can do something, but it is a tad annoying.
