So I made dingos tamable+trainable, with the idea of having a bunch of war dingos....well 2 generations later I have 30 dingos and a 50 FPS (starting with 2F and 1M.... Mean while my 2F and 1M cat only have produced 10 Kittens again after 2 generations and no slaughtering. So it seems dingos reproduce more than cats.

I gave up after they had another generation, I managed to slaughter 13.

Order them all put into a cage next to the butcher's shop. Add a meeting area next to the cage. They will go to the meeting area and cage jobs won't have to drag them slowly across the map. Just make sure you have haulers for the stuff in the butcher shop or it will rot.

The problem with cats never was the breeding speed, dogs breed faster. The problem with catsplosion lies in them adopting dwarves and no longer being butcherable, at least not without pissing off the bearded cat lady.

I did, couldn't kill all the females before they produced morethe f:m ration was around 3:1, and I had 4 war dingos, already assigned.

Building a few more butcher shops near your pasture would speed things up. You can only have as many butcher jobs active as you have butcher shops, so having more butchery buildings would make it go faster as long as you have enough dwarves with the labor enabled.

Just pasture all the females (well not all you should save 3 or 4 as breeding stock) under a raising bride. Then atom smash them. This should go a lot faster than butchering.

Caging all of the females should work too.
